Living out Loud with No Regrets traveling to the Big Apple
Whats the purpose for traveling? Whats the purpose of dreams? Since I was 2 years old I’ve always dreamed of going to New York. July 2017 My exact dreams would come true. Celebrating my Dirty 30 with a group of Queens a few days before leaving. I was heading to the city of My dreams. Merida. B was invited to grace a Runway with several of my New Bow tie Designs. The event was a all male review hosted by http://www.sweetspotnation.com/ . We had the cutest condo through airbnb http://airbnb.com – Airbnb – Official Site – Book Homes From Local Hosts greeted by the sweetest couple ever. The scenery was more than I could imagine located right on the block of lenox avenue in the Brooklyn. The most perfect front Terrace with a relaxing view and energy of the city I knew instantly me and that specific spot had a date 🙂 . Inside had the best decor with pink and silver accents and perfect amount of Windows and Mirrors … could you say selfie galore I was so ready to enjoy. The flight to Washington, D.C and riding into NYC it was as If my heart skipped several beats . I remember riding in to the city and seeing the view I didn’t know if I wanted to cry, laugh or just a tad bit of both. Instead I took each moment just to take it all in .
The various ways of Transits and commuting I found very interesting from riding the Train, to Ubering https://www.uber.com/ and trolley rides it was quite the experience. Although we have these options available in Texas We don’t use them quite as often. I have quite a few favorite memories of the trip but one favorite was walking down the block. We approached a young black Entrepreneur she sold me one of the Best cups of Ice Cold Lemonade I had in a while . She had smalls cups for 1$ and Big cups for 2$ the lemonade and customer service was so good we were sure to leave her a good tip .She was a sign that it was going to be a Great Night and even better show as it was . I got so many compliments on My Ties and Designs and literally almost sold out all my product. . I met some amazing Beautiful People and this left me with a heart full of joy. I left feeling beyond Grateful. The next day as we continued to wonder the beautiful city of Brooklyn we ran into a very kind New Yorker that commented on my outfit and told me how she loved the Diversity of my look. From there I went on to ask her of some good eating locations because it was my first time and I wanted to indulge in good eats .She referred us to a cool Sunday Brunch spot that we should check out the next day and I’m sooooooo glad we did. It was a small little Diner called the Mango seed and Boy oh Boy my everything was Highly Blessed . I ordered the Steak and cheese eggs with toast and Plantains it was cooked to perfection and exploded in my mouth with every bite, If you are ever in New York it’s a must have http://mangoseedrestaurant.com/nyc/ …. I could go on and on about how amazing this trip was but lets just say New York will be seeing me really soon
